Transforming the World through the Love of Christ...
Our vision is
a balanced church... one that exalts God in a lifestyle of worship,
equips people to live the Christian life and do the ministry of Jesus,
empowered through the Holy Spirit, it engages people in fellowship,
exposing God’s desire for personal relationship, continually expanding
God’s Kingdom, and enabling God’s Church to continue to grow. |

GLORY TO GOD |

GLORY TO GOD "Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name … worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness." (1 Chr 16:29) · "…whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." (1 Cor 10:31) · "Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together." (Psa 34:3) In the beginning of time, God created the universe in which we live. He created every living thing, including you and I with our unique capacity to freely worship and bring honor and glory to Him. This is our highest calling, our eternal pursuit, our final destiny.
Intimate Relationship with Jesus Christ "Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’" (John 14:6) · "He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. " (1 John 5:12) · "Remain in me, and I will remain in you. … Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me." (John 15:4) The life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ provides the only way for you and I to relate to God. Many would suggest other paths, however, Jesus clearly taught there is but one way to the Father. In addition, as believers in Jesus, we freely receive the Holy Spirit who gives us power to experience life abundantly.
We believe in having the same
empowerment by the Holy Spirit available to us today that was present in
the apostles and the early church. This enables us to go out and
proclaim the gospel of Christ through "power evangelism", to minister to
others and to be on fire for God. Worship - Exalting God's Presence The highest priority of God's people is to worship Him, that is, to give to God the worth that He ought to have in our lives. In the Bible, one meaning of worship is to draw near. Thus in worship we give ourselves to God in love and He comes to us in the fullness of His Spirit. We believe that an intimate relationship with God is the basis of all that we do as Christians. Worship is an expression of our love for God. It, therefore, should involve our whole persons-our intellect, our emotions, our spirits, our wills, our bodies and our money. We believe it should be enthusiastic since our love for God is passionate. And as an expression of love, worship is also self-disclosing. As such, it should be in our own language, expressing our thoughts and our hearts in simplicity and truth.Evangelism - Exposing God’s Desire for Personal Relationship
We
want to transform the world by love and good deeds. Christians are not
simply called to verbally share our faith. We also are called to serve
this world by doing good whenever we can, to whomever we can, as often
as we can, wherever we can, for as long as we can, to the glory of God.
This is one of the ways that we share the good news of Jesus Christ. Discipleship - Equipping God's People The New Testament calls Christians to a radical commitment. We believe that we are called to an unconditional surrender of our whole lives to Christ. We do not do this in a legalistic way or to impress or judge one another. Instead, our surrender to God springs from a response of love and thanksgiving to God who loved us and gave Himself for us. One simple way of defining a disciple is pupil or learner. It involves binding oneself to another so that the disciple does what the master does. In Christian discipleship our aim is to be bound to Christ and imitate Him. We believe we as His body are to imitate Jesus in all that He did-preaching, healing, praying, delivering the demonized, and caring for the poor. Fellowship - Engaging God's Family
ACFM exists to
care for and to build up people, not programs. Fellowship begins with
our relationship with Jesus. But fellowship is more than our individual
relationship with Jesus. It also involves our commitment to Christ's
body. We define fellowship not as an event or even as a relationship,
but as a purposeful lifestyle. Fellowship is purposefully living in
meaningful connection with other Christians. The best way to facilitate
this lifestyle is in small groups. Missions - Expanding God's Kingdom Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners (1 Tim. 1:15). He accomplishes that salvation through the witness of His people accompanied by signs and wonders (Mk. 16:20). There are almost 150 million un-churched people in the United States right now. Depending up on the statistics, between 60 and 80 million of these are people in the post-war generation. That means that an enormous mission field exists for churches like ACFM, here in the United States. There are also tens of millions of un-reached peoples around the world who we are called to reach (Mt. 28:18-20). Church Planting - Enabling God’s Church to Grow The fruit of our labor must not just be individual disciples, but new churches. Planting churches that plant other churches is the best way to reach this world for Christ.
ACFM is committed to
not only grow our own church, but also to plant churches both in the USA
and internationally.
